ASSEMBLERS WANTED (Enfield, CT)

ASSEMBLER

QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB PERFORMANCE:

  • Assembles mechanical parts and components associated with the product lines.
  • Responsible for building an extensive variety of components, including sub-assembly, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, testing, inspection, prototypes modifications, upgrades and rework in accordance with manufacturing documentation.
  • Responsible for packaging all finished goods utilizing all necessary packaging equiptment.

  • Assist in the initial installation, troubleshooting and testing of the new assembly lines and associated equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and improve product quality, productivity and processes using knowledge of ISO policies and procedures.
  • Verify accuracy and quality of finished product.
  • Assist in assembly line troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Fill-in for staff vacancies/assist team (i.e. vacations, etc.).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Warehouse Specialist - Enfield, CT

WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Position requires complete working knowledge of outbound distribution, inbound distribution and manufacturing warehousing responsibilities as described throughout this Job Description.
  • Operates lift trucks, pallet jacks, or uses hand trucks to load / unload trucks or move, convey, or hoist products / parts from warehouse, shipping and receiving areas to storage or work areas.
  • Participates in planning and execution of projects and process improvements.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving, production or repair areas to storage or to other designated areas as needed.
  • Accurately selects parts and products from warehouse slots. Accurately puts away incoming and returned parts in warehouse slots and consolidates accordingly.
  • Confirms transfer orders and items selected or stocked through use of scanning equipment.
  • Uses computer and related equipment to enter records. Be familiar with SAP and LN systems. Must be able to handle 255 and 311 transactions and transfer parts appropriately.
  • Completes selection of Kanban bins, work orders and large scale orders across all zones. Affixes labels appropriately and accurately consolidates parts in consolidation area.
  • Safely operates vertical lift mechanisms to select, store and count parts being stored.
  • Delivers parts selected from warehouse to production floor.
  • Cleans work area and aisles regularly throughout shift and at end of shift. Assists in maintaining general organization of distribution center.
  • Works with Inventory Management to ensure that all products are appropriately stocked and identified.
  • Identifies any product or inventory discrepancies and forwards to management for resolution.
  • Participates in physical inventory counting and adheres to all inventory control policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to Company standards (Inventory).
  • May be required to open cartons, bales, crates, airfreight and other containers.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and communicates with purchasing and inventory control to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments, including repair services.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Marks materials with identifying information and labels.
  • Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space. Puts product away with scanning equipment.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Maintains inventory and other stock records.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Able to package product being shipped by using proper fill, cartons, skids.
  • Verifies method of shipment
  • Addresses packages and compares addresses with records to verify accuracy.
  • Weighs packages, determines shipping and insurance charges.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Sorts parcels for shipment, according to destination or other classification, and places shipments in designated areas.
  • Assigns proper routing methods through appropriate carrier companies.
  • Responsible for security of warehouse and dock areas during normal working hours.
  • Must have complete knowledge of all Company products stocked.
  • Enforces, cooperates with and complies with all Company safety policies.
  • May be asked to perform ad hoc tasks asked by Supervisor.
