Job Summary:

Assumes responsibility and accountability for keeping designated shift on target for scheduled production and focus on workplace safety, manufacturing quality and production efficiency.  Able to consider availability of materials and unplanned changes.  Assuming responsibility for their shift's production and packaging of product.  Coordinates with other Supervisors and Departments, and accountable for accurate communication.  Work in a team environment and reinforce company values in all aspects of business through leadership and mentoring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with operational, general Company and regulatory policies.
  • Comply with all Safe Quality Food program procedures
  • Ensure training is being conducted effectively, working with designated trainers.
  • Coordinate and lead shift operation to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing and packaging of products
  • Document efficiency performance and respond proactively to inefficiencies
  • Communicate with Production Manager in timely manager
  • Ensure compliance with correct operating procedures by all personnel. Respond to quality concerns in timely and effective manner
  • Perform continuous review of documentation for timely completion and accuracy 
  • Enforce company policies regarding general compliance, safety and safe operation of equipment to achieve elimination of at-fault injuries
  • Daily audits of processes, equipment and facility to ensure compliance with all written or expressed standards using RMA format.
  • Uses FIFO to ensure rotation of and availability of ingredients from warehouse.
  • Contributes to development of employees through training and the performance review process. 

Sanitation:

  • Clean production facility according to Master Sanitation schedule and SOP's
  • Follow established 6 step sanitation process
  • Use power washers and other sanitation equipment as directed by shift supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Previous supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills; addition, multiplication, division and calculating percentages using calculator
  • Able to read, write, converse and follow instruction in English
  • Time management, and able to work independently and in a team
  • Attention to detail and able to follow procedures and problem solve.
  • Shift flexibility, able to work perform sanitation lead responsibility every 3rd weekend when team is scheduled to work

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift 75 pounds, walking, stooping lifting, standing, computer work.
  • Able to work in warehouse and office areas, throughout the facility, with seasonal temperature variances in unheated and non-air-conditioned areas of the plant
  • Able to use computer, ribbon mixers, conveyor augers, bucket conveyors, Form, Fill & Seal machine, touch screen, pallet movers, digital scales and metal detectors.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Responsibilities include assembling preformed sheet metal parts, using equipment such as drills, wrenches, high pressure carts, screwdrivers, hammers and other equipment that will assist in satisfactory performances of duties.
  • Responsible for the operation of the aforementioned equipment with personal safety and that of fellow employees in mind.
  • Responsible for assembling and interpretation of assembly and sub-assembly drawings and sketches.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Shall have the ability to use, read and interpret drawings and measuring scale or tape proficiently.
  • Must be able to understand blueprints
  • Must be good utilizing hand tools
  • Must be able to submit to a drug test and back ground check
  • Must be able to work over time when needed
JOB DETAILS

Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic/Technician Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repairs to production equipment to ensure production line operation. Ensure the safe and productive performance of assigned duties and responsibilities to support the manufacturing of a quality product and meet goals of the corporation. Responsibilities/Duties Inspect malfunctioning equipment, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems. Perform preventative maintenance, as needed, to ensure smooth operation of production lines. Examine form and texture of machine parts to detect imperfections. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Dismantle and install machinery and parts as needed. Perform repairs and/or modifications to parts and equipment as requested by Supervisor. Complete projects as assigned. Accurately record daily activities and complete related paperwork. Adheres to and uses safe work practices, following safety rules and regulations. Reports unsafe conditions or work practices to supervisor. Maintain neat/clean work area. Routinely clean equipment and tooling used in process.    
 Requirements
Requirements: High School/GED/4 year diploma. Machinist trade school desired. Experience: 2 years. Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Machine shop experience helpful. Other requirements: Must have own tools. Ability to use, understand and create written materials related to the job. Forklift license required. Tools/Equipment Used: Maintenance machines, supplies and related equipment. Safety and personal protective equipment. Measurement devices. Power tools, hand tools, machining/welding, cutting torch, forklift. Common office equipment.
